Mistress Marilyn's POV
No shit, Tempus Fugit!
Kittie Scarlett . . .

We found out Thursday that Kittie Scarlett probably has a fatal disease. She's been losing weight at a rapid pace (going from 6 pounds to 4 pounds since September), and after a very expensive blood test she's showing a positive result for feline infectious peritonitis. She definitely has the symptoms, and she probably has since we got her. We just didn't realize.

We have no idea how long she'll last. And hopefully she won't infect Colin, who's as healthy as a horse.

And since she's become totally attached to me, sleeping with me every night and on my lap nearly every minute, it's going to be even harder.

But I don't regret getting her, saving her from her horrible life outdoors. We've had her nearly a full year. And if that's all we get, it was worth it.

I'm so sorry for you...

But I'm sure you made all of her days with you worthwhile!! If she didn't love you, she wouldn't fall asleep on your bed each night.

((hugs)) on the news of the kitty

one of the things about rescue, is you can only do so much
look at all she has had, and continues to have
the blessings

and know you have support when she passes, whether it be from this
or 10 years from now

Thinking of you and Kittie Scarlett.

May you have many more happy days in each other's company.

If you were Kitty Scarlett you would only be thinking what a nice warm lap and comfy bed there is to rest in. She may feel ill but takes comfort in not knowing anything else but your continuous love.

It's always difficult to say goodbye to a loved pet. I had to put my toy poodle TC down last year. She had pancreatic cancer. She was 16 years old but she was still my baby girl. I miss her yet.

Kittie Scarlett was lucky to have you. She probably knows her time is limited and she wants to spend that time with you. Animals give so much love unconditionally they truly are little miracles.
