I can't find my flag icon, so I must have ditched it at some point. But I think it's appropriate to be a bit chauvinistic at this point and say how proud I am of the men and women who have served this country. I would have liked to have been in the armed services, for at least a few years. When I was younger, I didn't think I had the physical stamina to do it. And now that I know I probably could have, it's too late.

Tonight at our board meeting we asked our vets to stand and be acknowledged. It was pretty amazing to see how many vets there were.

Anyway, we made it through the meeting. And after three more days, I'll be on vaca. It's time to write, write, write!

Wonderful that you acknowledged the vets. I thank you for doing so.

I'm so proud that you and I have those flag-ribbon pins that we wear on our uniform. We make it clear how we feel -- just like we did growing up. (Remember how Sue used to give us a hard time about all our 'flag waving' back in the day?)

It was a good moment, when the vets stood. I hope the photo I took turns out!

You do your part for this country. What you did during the Centennial (with the tank and riderless horse) is just one example. Go YOU!

I'm excited for you to be on vaca -- and to be writing. Again, go YOU!

(hugs)
