Note to self: Be patient. Talk slowly, be helpful, be warm. Not everyone learns at the same speed or has the same aptitude for technology.

How can I get it across to a new employee to take ownership of a project, no matter how much he needs to scrape to do it?

And now the chairman is going on medical leave, and I've found a way to get him some help from a really dedicated volunteer. In the meantime, I'd better get up to speed myself ASAP.

I'm sure when you're in high gear and producing a great deal that it must be frustrating to deal with those who don't rise to the occasion. It's good of you to attempt patience. I tend to lose mine when others disappoint me by failing to achieve to my expectations. (Yes, they're high. I think the average person is too easy on themselves.)

I can't imagine you not being up to speed. (Really!)

Anyway, we're lucky these days to have the technology to make our work easier ...
