Just (sort of) watching the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics. If NBC could possibly do a lousier job of covering it, I'm not sure just how. They even went to commercial break during the entrance of the U.S. team. Go figure. (And how would you have liked to be in the team that entered to 'YMCA' by the Village People? Weird.)
Seems like we've definitely seen a downturn since Atlanta and Australia, which both had amazing openings. Whatever happened to my pal Michael Curry?
A huge thanks to Charlie
charliemc for staying at work all day and helping me by scanning tons of historical info into the computer. I only had one long (almost two-hour) meeting on my 'No Meeting' day, but I didn't even get started on my Centennial plan. Still, I got a lot done by not taking a break except to juice up on Starbucks.
Then I got my first spray tan of the year to try to dress up for the auction tomorrow night. We'll meet Leslie for a drink first, then go party and try not to spend too much $$ (although we'll have to spend something). It's supposed to stay nice for the weekend, so I'm hoping for a nice Sunday.
On another note, the film project is still very warm. And I had an exciting meeting on Wednesday that I can't talk about with names like DreamWorks and Pixar bandied about. (My new word: Terabyte -- 1000 Gigabytes)
(oooh. pretty cool torch lighting . . . )
