We had such a blast at Boondocks last night!!!! We got there just in time, they'd moved the showing(s) to the outside Lloyd Cinema and put it on two screens. The second one sold out about 20 or 30 people after us. Every seat was taken, and we had a group of six cute young dudes in front of us who were passing a flask of whiskey around. I didn't take any, but I think they wanted us to see that the flask had the Boondocks prayer on it.
Anyway, it was about two thirds guys, and there was a lot of shouting and recitation going on. The showing started off with an interview with the director, Troy Duffy. By the time they got to the movie, we were ready to howl (and did).
Wish I had a Twincest t-shirt, but instead I was wearing yellow, not one of my normal colors and completely out of place in this crowd. I hadn't expected to go straight from work, but what was I thinking????
I ended up sleeping on the couch again, just like Saturday night before the Duathlon. I woke up at 4:30 am, ready to spring into action! Then I watched the last part of a wonderful Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movie and went back to sleep.
It's only Tuesday, but it's been one long, endless week since May 15. And it's raining like a son-of-a-bitch, but that's a good thing. It can rain until Memorial Day now.
Oh, and my grant application came through yesterday!!!!! They approved almost the whole amount. Unbelievable.
