Go, Serena! That was a game Israeli player (who definitely has game), but what player in the last decade has a better record in the final set than Serena Williams?! This match was a joy to watch.
I hardly saw one point of the Rafa match. It wasn't televised until after-the-fact (didn't start here until after 3:00 a.m., and I watched the first two games on point-tracker on the website, then gave up) and my day was too busy to pay attention. So glad Rafa gutted it out in the fifth set. I could not have tolerated Murray taking him out.
Then I fell asleep during Andy vs. Mardy. Still, the opening montage of all their photos was slashy good. Boys!
On the work front, we had BAD
news today about sponsorship, and although it wasn't unexpected, it was a bummer. I was in the middle of my meeting with Ira and Jim and got pulled out to deal and help tell Jeff.
Tomorrow Jeff and I head to Salem to meet with the Governor and staff. We have a full hour, plus Ira brought me both the student film project promo and the trailer to show them. Let's hope this goes well.
I worked until 7:15, then got creeped out by being the only person in the office with the cleaning guy. Dumb, but I needed to leave, anyway. I actually took a lunch today -- a personal one having NOTHING to do with current work. Adrian is the cutest pregnant person who ever lived, and it's so fun to spend an hour or so with her.
No treadmill tonight. Gotta go do abs at least and then get to bed so I don't look so damn old and tired when we get to Salem tomorrow morning.
And on the LJ front, I'm welcoming a couple new friends to my flist: asnpersuasion83
who came over from Charlie's LJ. Glad to have the chance to get to know you!
