Guess what? It's raining a bit at Wimbledon today! I nearly used my rainy U.S. Open icon for this post, because I don't have a rainy Wimbledon one. (Winners today included Andy, Roger, Martina Hingis -- she's injured and barely came through -- and Serena. Henman and Moya just started a fifth set.)
When you're in the special events world (and you just got hammered by the liquid sunshine), you can really empathize. Here's a question I have no patience for: "Why don't you just change the date of the parade?" (To what? Tell me what day is guaranteed to have perfect weather!)
I'm snorting and my tongue is swollen -- must be allergy season. I actually skipped work today, so I just spent the last hour logged on to my computer there. Can't help myself.
My story turned out great! No, it wasn't at all what I expected it to be, but it might be even better. I think it's something I could actually shop around with a little more work. We'll see how it goes over tonight at the Writer's Circle.
Yawn. I need a nap and a shower, but I think I have to watch this tennis.
And on that note, welcome to my flist, b4_sunrise
, a tennis fan who lives in London! Woohoo!
