Happy 50th, Madonna!

madonna 50: charliemc
Just had to mention Madonna's 50th . . . seems like the world keeps aging . . . what's that about? Eventually we'll all catch up with each other, believe it or not.

And, yes, friends out there, you, too, will turn 50 someday. And hopefully you'll still feel fabulous and live a fabulous life. The picture of me on my default icon was taken a couple days after my 50th. And there's never a day I get up and think "I'm old"; in fact, I'm shocked when I hear a reference to it.

I still remember having one of the princesses refer to Madonna as "old" in a newspaper interview some 16 or 17 years ago. I remember giving her hell about it. And just think, now that girl is older than Madonna was then, and I bet she doesn't look or feel near as good as Madge does at 50.

Age really is a state of mind. And if you can keep your body healthy, there's nothing to fear.

I totally agree and I find this post of yours very inspiring! I have never *felt* whatever age I have been, age is immaterial to me. I am me, and I think I will feel and act young my whole life. I like your attitude, that's what's wrong with most people, they think they have to act or live a certain way just because of this *age* thing...what is it after all but a few numbers on a bit of paper. Unless someone sees our birth certificate, how do they even know what *age* we are lol

I'm 44 AND I just don't care. I still wear the same size clothes I wore when I was 18 and people who meet me or know me think I am in my early 30's and I think that is because I am *young* in mind and also because I eat well, wear trendy clothes and my figure is as good as any teen.

Go you, I bet you look FABULOUS! xx

Wow, it's great to hear from someone who feels like I do!

My life got even better after 40. Actually, I think I look and feel much better now than when I was a teenager. I'm definitely fitter, even if I weigh a bit more.

It's funny . . . the world is aging demographically, but we're still obsessed in the media with youth. It's great to see these pop icons aging, too, because that forces the world to take note that age is just a state of mind.
