Yikes. Miss two days and it will take you hours to sift through all the Dark Knight stuff. That fandom is absolutely perking . . . it will be almost a relief when it slows down a little. In the meantime, I've written NOTHING more on my 6-part story.
Friday we took our roadtrip to Bend to pick up rocks. We went to the Lava River Cave and hiked in. I really choked back my claustrophobia and went as far as I could without having to crawl. It's hard to believe it's only about two miles roundtrip. The last time I was there was four years ago, after my surgery, and we went almost as far. Back then I was writing 'Boromir's Elves,' so I thought a lot about what their caves would be like. And, of course, this time it was about batcaves, so to speak. Anyway, there were four of us, and we had a great time.
We also got a lot of rocks on the way back.
When we got home Roddick's match with Gulbis was still going on (I guess there was a rain delay). I had expected Andy to lose, so I was pleasantly surprised at how he turned it around. In the meantime, he just won again.
Yesterday I was worn out from Friday for some reason. I guess I was a little under the weather. And speaking of the weather, it's a bit off, but it's supposed to improve. And down in the Gulf Coast, cities have been turned into ghost towns by the approach of Gustav. It's like deja vu, although nobody seemed to get it three years ago.
And yesterday, on the third anniversary of the day we had April put to sleep, my friend had her kitty put to sleep. We were going to go with her, but her boyfriend went instead. I'm sure it was very hard for her, but we had her go to our vet, because after three cats in three years, we know they do it right.
