I always said the stupidest thing Al Gore did back in 2000 was choose Joseph Lieberman as his VP nominee. As far as I was concerned, this was one of the main reasons Bush got into the White House in the first place.

Am I surprised that Lieberman is now endorsing McCain and urging Democrats to cross party lines and vote for McCain?

Hell no. At this point, nothing would surprise me.

Good GOD!!
If ever the Republicans had had ANY credibility for me, after Palin and now this, they just look like buffoons...

...the unfortunate thing is, half the people in this country do not see it.

You know, I now work in an international organisation and we have a couple of Americans here and there.
And this election thing is really like "the bold and the beautiful" right now. It is really interesting to follow it. Of course they are all voting for Obama but they did tell me about the famous blue/red maps where you can see that only big cities and East & West coasts vote Democrat. The rest are pure republicans and, apparently, the republicans are the most fiery.

Is Obama really good or is it more of a "lesser of two evils" kinda good?

hmmm . . . I don't know how good Obama is . . . he almost seems 'too good to be true' to me . . . but he definitely is a fresh face, and it's unbelievable to have a black man so close to the White House. I fear Obama won't survive until November, considering this country's history.

And it's true. There are just a few big states that vote Demo. The middle of the country is all Republican.

BUT none are surprised, just waiting

If McCain gets elected, that shoe will make a pretty loud drop. Still, I agree it won't really be a surprise, will it?
