henry-sweet!
So, I added two new babies to the family yesterday:

A Dell Inspiron 13 laptop, and a Yamaha FG700S acoustic guitar.

I'm already using the former. In fact, I slept on the couch just a couple feet from it last night. I kept waking up and going on line, something I could never do from the family room before. Charlie had it all set up by the time I got home from work last night, and I actually wrote a little on a story, plus did my banking on it.

The latter is not so functional, but it's just as pretty. Right now it's sitting on a stand in my office, with the snazzy backpack/bag I bought just a few feet away. I can't play a note, but I could put it in the bag and walk around *looking* like I could. The plan is to take lessons from the chick who sold it to me. I've been talking about it for a year, but they store agreed to donate a package to our auction in return for what I bought there. So I spent close to $300, and they donated a $200 guitar w/accoutrements.

Oh, yeah. I also got this tuner/metronome device that's a pretty cool toy. I could turn the metronome function on and type to it! Forget those tall things we used in school, not to mention the old pitch pipes. This is a little electronic box.

Lordy. I'm really doing well on my goal to be completely broke by the end of October. I may even exceed that deadline!

Hee, hee! You're going to havea fun! Never mnd you're broke ~ you won't care (lol). Yamaha is a good brand name from what I hear. Nice donation!
Don't forget to record and share your 'first tune' with us!

I loved those old metronomes!

Oh, Lordy. I can't imagine what that first tune will sound like!

I liked the old metronomes, too. This thing has no character, no substance to it. It's certainly not the same.
