Naturally our friend Mitch goes back to work this weekend (he's a music director for a church), and Leo and Johnny both go back to work after Labor Day. And Joey will have to work much of my vacation.
But Charlie and I will find lots of ways to have a great time, enjoying our backyard, going to the nude beach (maybe I'll find you there, Alex!), watching tennis, playing tennis, watching MTV and American Idol, playing games and fooling around on line. Charlie has her doctor's appt. next week, but hopefully that will go well.
I started working out again this week. I've been surprisingly un-motivated. I lifted a little last night (watching the 'Slave' video over and over). Tonight I'm going to try to do the treadmill.
In the meantime, I managed to solicit two event ticket packages for our auction, and I'm mailing some letters out today for a few others.
I have to say Happy Birthday Howie! I agree with Evamaria, Howie deserves to have a wonderful day. And I have no doubt that, wherever he is and whatever he's doing, he will have fun. He seems like someone who knows how to have a good time.
Now that Howie's 29, he's getting too old for me. I better run into him in the next few months, or he'll fall outside my target demo! Luckily Justin, Nick, A.J. and J.C. have a few years of desirability left. (Now, for Kevin, I could make an exception.) I made this comment for you, Nik, wherever you are! I knew you'd appreciate it.
Kim Catrall turned 46 yesterday. She looks fabulous, of course. She and Marg Helgenberger are definitely role models for me. (And Madonna is certainly looking better than ever in that new movie she just made.) It's great to see that you don't have to curl up and die when you get past a certain age! (Well, I refer to myself now as Britney 2.3. When she multiplies her age by 2.3, she'll be lucky if she's doing as well as I am!)
We were all so pleased with the results of American Idol last night. Only two more weeks to go, and then we'll have to find something else to obsess about. Now Simon's someone I could get into, but I'm not nearly sleazy enough for him, evidently.
Hopefully I'll write more in this when I'm off work, and maybe I'll even write some fanfic. Charlie and I want to work on our website and get a lot of stuff loaded there. That should be great fun. I just don't want to make too many plans, because I don't want to be disappointed.
Back to work. Only ten or twelve hours of work left!
