Auction: 53 hours and counting. Yes, naturally I have to be fighting a bug, when I need my wits about me! And there's a big rain/wind storm heading our way which should hit right around the time we're loading in.
Just finished the silent auction script, met with the emcee, and now I'm cutting and pasting auctioneer cards. I'll meet with the reader at 2:00pm today (our current queen) for a little coaching, then I'll give the auctioneer cards and timeline to our auction company coordinator tomorrow. Last but not least, the actual script MUST be emailed to the radio station emcees *today* so they get it tomorrow morning when they're doing their regular drive-time gig.
Yes, this is normal for me to be pulling this stuff out of my ass 48 hours before the event.
Thank God Angel brought me a green tea latte'! (Well, I made him go get me one . . .)
Charlie and I finished the PowerPoint presentation on Tuesday evening. And just a minute ago I called a donor and thanked him for his generous $2,000 contribution.
I haven't even written a drabble this week with all this other writing, and perhaps partially because I was so stoked about finishing 'Batskin.' Plus, I just can't keep up with some of the prolific participants, and even though I don't have to, it bugs. I do have one in mind (maybe I'll squeeze it in before getting a mystic tan tonight).
