Mistress Marilyn's POV
No shit, Tempus Fugit!
Uh-oh! Runing out of time!

Charlie just reminded me that we hadn't blogged today. Yikes! I've got five minutes to get a post up.

I spent all evening working on my author website. Before I start sending enquiry letters to agents, I want to have a halfway decent site to send them to. Naturally the web-maker that comes with my host is elementary, but I'm having fun with it anyway. And later we can do something more fancy.

Today I'm thankful for the knowledge Charlie shares with me. I'm a complete ignoramus about this stuff, and I make one mistake after another. But she just keeps helping me out. I don't know if I'd even be blogging if it weren't for her. I certainly wouldn't be making icons or trying to do a website, even a simple one.

I just can't imagine what it's like not to have any resource for this stuff. I guess you must be forced to work a lot harder at it.

I need a resource for the stuff you mentioned. I get upset with trying to do things if it doesn't come to me right away like web-makers. I can't remember how to even post pics to my journal, (and I can't add lol to this because it's not even funny). Your sister would be repulsed and filled with disbelief to the pt. of awe over my lack of knowledge. I seem to have no patience with reading instructions. I need to get over it.

You have a rose tattoo on your shoulder . . . cool . . . pretty.

That photo was taken this summer at a backyard gathering where I had a 'rose tattoo-off' with a friend of mine. I took him out of the photo, but we were side-by-side showing our rose tattoos, both in the exact same place on our backs.

I'm the same way. I'm learning to put photos up to scrapbook and then post them myself, but Charlie does it so often, she's much better at it. The recent pics of Henry were ones she fixed for me; she even gave me the code! I feel like it's kind of cheating, actually, so I usually try to do it myself or not at all. And I try not to ask her too much, but when she's sitting right beside me at her computer . . .

I understand the frustration. Last night I spent about three hours fixing photos for my website, screwing them up, losing them, re-doing them three or four times each. It was maddening. But I realized the repetition was actually forcing me to learn, so it was all good.

(the rose was my first tattoo, and my only one with color . . . it's fading a little, I think)
