Mistress Marilyn's POV
No shit, Tempus Fugit!
Yay, Starbucks!

I got my green tea latte' today, even though Sue had to come drive us to Starbucks. AAA finally arrived to jump the battery at around 7:30pm! We then had to keep the car running for a while, so we went to look at Christmas lights for a couple hours, after having our Christmas Eve dinner, our traditional Chinese food.

All that's left of the snow is the big banks left by plows. There were some huge ones out in East County. Just a few patches here (yay).

We played holiday songs from my iPod while we drove around. And today I have to express my thanks for that technology. I LOVE MY iPOD! Tom gave me my first iPod a couple years ago for my birthday, and we now have four, including my iTouch. It's the coolest way to have all your tunes at hand, since I'm always losing cds, putting them in the wrong cases, scratching them up, etc. And I love downloading music videos, which was the reason I wanted one in the first place. Imagine being at the nude beach sunbathing and being able to watch Britney's 'I'm a Slave For U' video! It's too much for words.

Sorry about your car.

I wondered if you made that walk to get your traditional Chinese food. I'm glad to hear that you did.

I think you might remember this Christmas for a long time because of the snow. You have the pics to look back on, lol.

Technology is a blast. We've seen a lot of changes in our life time (I said that in a whisper).

I hate to admit it but I've never used an iPOD, sounds good though. And Tom, I've heard his name before when I peeked in on you before we added as friends.

It seems like he bought you and Charlie things to eat, and that he bought Charlie those 'corn nuts' which she was crazy about. :-) I tried them because they sounded so good but they're pretty hard on the teeth, unless I bought the wrong things.

I didn't know you had nude beaches there. We don't have that around here, lol.

Nah, we didn't walk out on Christmas Eve. It was too sloppy out, and I couldn't face it again. So Sunday we drove and got the Chinese food. (We bought too much, as always, but what the heck.)

My car battery now seems back-to-normal, which amazes me. The good thing about AAA is, it doesn't cost you a dime. And usually they come within an hour, but with the bad weather, they were completely backed up, getting people out of snowbanks all over town.

If you love music and have cds around the house that you're constantly misplacing, an iPod is a life-saver! And it's such a great way to sort your music, almost like a built-in database for artist, album, genre, etc. Plus, it's fun to download just one song here and there, instead of having to buy the whole album. And songs are only 99 cents.

Yeah, Tom used to buy a lot of stuff, no doubt. Generous guy. But his disappearing act wasn't unexpected. I guess I'm surprised he hung around nearly three years. That's a lot of patience, I guess. I'm not easy on a guy.

Corn nuts! Yes, they can be tooth-breakers. Gotta watch out for that. (I haven't had a corn nut in several weeks . . . the craving comes and goes.)

Portland has one GREAT nude beach close by and another not-as-good a little farther away. I haven't been in a while, but maybe this summer we'll return. In 2001 and 2002 we were regulars.

You guys were regulars, that blows me away. So you both got naked?

Do people look at each other? Lol, I guess you all don't walk around with your heads down.

And the men they walk around with their dicks swinging?

I don't think I could do it. I would need to do some sit ups for several weeks first :-)

So Tom was that boyfriend that broke up with you right before you had to give a speech. So I guess he couldn't have been the mayor Tom.

What is your most fave food?

What is your most fave color?

Do you and Charlie wear jewelry?

What's her fave color?

I hope that's not to many questions.

Hmmm . . . I don't really have definitive favorites. I like different things at different times. I *LOVE* fried green tomatoes and refried beans. I'd rather eat a nacho than most anything. But I occasionally love a good steak.

I love food, but mostly plain food, not fancy food.

I go through spurts of jewelry-wearing. I wear earrings on weekdays, to work, but usually not on weekends (unless I'm going out). I still love hoops, even though they're not exactly in style right now. I was wearing multiple necklaces for a couple years, ala Miami Vice, but I haven't worn any for a while. I wear multiple rings and bracelets and a watch nearly all the time.

How 'bout you?

The nude beach at Sauvie Island is a fantastic place. It's a long beach on a river, so there are lots of places to go. It's real nudist-types, not lookie-loos, for the most part. Yes, occasionally some jerk looking for a thrill comes through, and boats slow down nearby to check things out. (I had a guy stand nearby and jerk off looking at me once, hehe.) But it's not like the sunbathers are Playboy models. It's regular folks with regular bodies, so there's really nothing all that thrilling.

Being naked in front of people doesn't bother me. I used to chuck my clothes and run around the neighborhood when I was a little kid, and they were always trying to catch me and dress me. Mom and Dad were free around the house, and Dad was the first naked man I ever saw. My willingness to go to the nude beach is a good barometer for how I'm feeling about myself physically, actually. So I guess I should be concerned that I haven't been there in a couple years . . .

Wow, I can't believe you mentioned refried beans. I love them too, and most people won't bring them up as something they really love. Also fried green tomatoes. That's one of the reasons I always grow tomatoes if nothing else so you can get at the green ones. It's one of the wonderful things about summer. I always welcome the smell of the tomato plants because I know good things are coming. My dad 'always' grew wonderful tasting tomatoes. They were sweet and just the right amount of acid to hold that fresh favor. He would start them out as young seedlings in the window when it was still to cold to plant any in the ground. He nursed and cared for them, God bless him.

That beach sounds cool being along a river. I guess I would take it as a compliment if a guy jerked off over me, but on the other hand kind of gross, and rude.

As a young girl I ran around without any top on. My mom encouraged it saying that I should enjoy the freedom before I grew up and couldn't do it anymore. I don't know how old I got to be before I quit. But I did quit after a neighbor had friends over across the street(highway) and I saw them take a picture of me.

I my iPod. (Tom may be gone from our lives, but his memory lives on in the generous things he did...) I can't remember what it was like before we had iPods to handle our music. I truly had NO CLUE. And the quality of the music? Rockin'!

Technology? Don't get me started on how much I love it. There truly are no words. Try to imagine life without the internet!!! Impossible. Or just without COMPUTERS. No way!!!

What's the code for that little heart?
2nd-Jan-2009 08:29 am (UTC)
I usually use this code:

That's because otherwise it's pretty SMALL and doesn't stand out.

The actual coding is:

Cool, huh?

(I think this one has been answered at l_j_for_dummies, too...)
