The Weekend Comes to a Close~

Clown Showcase & Graduation turned out GREAT today! I was so pleased. I wish more people had attended, but overall it did not disappoint.

And Charlie helped me unload or store about eight huge boxes that had been dropped off at the office on Saturday. Videos and dvds and other historical stuff. My huge storage unit holds a lot; in fact, I have more storage than I had before, ironically. We just got home around 11:30pm. I wanted to be sure the boxes were gone before Dick sees my office for the first time tomorrow.

I spent an hour or so finding the rest of my tax information; I'm FINALLY going to get my taxes done tomorrow. This is so much more like me. A couple years ago I did my taxes waaay early, and I found it disconcerting.

Plus, I learned Friday that my re-finance finally came through! It took months. I'm supposed to sign papers tomorrow. So it's going to be a big day on the personal front. I'm humbly happy to be getting my 5%, plus enough cash out to get the house painted and the family room carpeted; I had coffee with Ron on Friday and heard about how he's been working for a year to try to restructure his horrific home loan, which is something like 12.8%! And he's been unemployed for seven months and is more than a month behind on his ridiculous payment. If he doesn't declare bankruptcy, he could lose his house.

There but for the grace of God, as they say . . .

Anyway, it's time for bed. The Portland rain has returned, and I'm feeling sleepy! 'Night all!

Always glad to help out. In fact, there's a genuine satisfaction in doing something like that, I think! Real 'hands on' make-a-difference work. So much of what we do is never apparent, after all...

And I LIKE (and have always liked) helping YOU out with your office! I never get to do that anymore, worrying so much about all the IT and my own stuff. (sigh) It was like the 'old' days when I always got to help you! (smile)

Yeah, pretty close to bedtime, I think. But we might need to scarf down some popcorn! (heh)

Clown Graduation ROCKED, I thought! I think people missed a good show. Hopefully we'll pimp it out better next year and get more people there. (fingers crossed)

Congrats on the house and on the taxes! Go, YOU! (Go, US!) Can't wait to get the house painted (deck and all) this year. It needs it and will look so nice!

Busy day tomorrow, so...

Marilyn sounds like you had a busy week-end with lots of work issues. I am glad the Clown Event went well. Is there any way that I could come to the office some time tomorrow afternoon to see it. I have my ultra-sound in the morning and since you will both be there would love to get in to see the new offices and building.

The week-end tournament was good and we all made a little money. I had a few stomach issues, but that is just normal for me so no problem. Boy next week you leave for Texas and I sure hope that you enjoy the trip.

My two friends Bob and Mike are in Palm Springs and it is 88 there, but I am sure you will have nice warm weather and enjoy that. Let me know what time your flights are and I will plan to take you to the airport and pick you up. Let me know. Love Sue

Congratulations on getting the house refinanced so you can get some much-needed household projects done! We need to do that ourselves...

Have a great Monday,Marilyn! ♥
