We're only 36 hours from the start of the 2010 U.S. Open! Hurry for us. To get in practice, I watched much of last year's men's final, and I found myself not believing Del Potro was going to win . . . and I was just as outraged when he had and Dick Enberg would hardly allow him to speak in Spanish to his friends and family back in Argentina.
Anyway, got all my user pics, finally, and immediately started loading more up. No matter how many I have, I still never have just the right one when I want it!
Finished my story for this week's challenge at the Twilight community. Now I need to write a Tudors fic, which I've never done. I re-read a few today to try to get in the mood, but it's a little hard. And last night I watched some of Elizabeth and Essex
with the great Bette Davis and Errol Flynn. What a load of hooey, but great actors, costumes and settings.
Since I was deathly sick on Friday (I don't know *what* is wrong with me this summer!), I now have to work tomorrow. I have at least six hours of work to do, which would have been more like ten hours on Friday, what with meetings and interacting with other folks.
Anyway, gotta get up in the morning and go in to the office. No way around it.
Today was a lovely day. We drove down to Sauvie Island after I got my hair done; we got hotdogs and grilled corn. And then I napped through the Federer/Del Potro final. Perfect.
I know. It really doesn't take much to please me!
