I'm still enjoying The Walking Dead, but it's not nearly as compelling. I guess we can't expect every episode to have the same intensity as the first two. Whew. But it's easy to get annoyed at the human drama. We need these characters to pull together . . . and I need fewer looong, lingering closeups of people saying goodbye to their soon-to-be-zombie loved ones.
I got three votes for and one against this Challenge in my Last Author Standing community. This was another Jacob-centric story, which has turned out to be my favorite subject matter, surprisingly enough. It's hard to believe I've now been participating for more than three months, and there's really no end in sight. I'd say there are at least two or three Challenges to go (I always want to call them Rounds, as opposed to Challenges). I pretty much know the top writers by now, even recognizing their work. I could make a prediction on who's going to win, but I won't.
I hope all my American friends had a fabulous Thanksgiving, and I hope everyone else is staying warm and healthy. I have to say I'm looking forward to the end of 2010. Overall it's been a pretty sucky year.
