So, it's down to
wrldpossibility and me in the Twilight Last Author Standing community. She's definitely the strongest writer of the bunch (won three or four of the Challenges). Another strong writer who won a couple Challenges evidently defaulted out . . . I'm not totally sure how it works, but people can use skips up to a certain point, then they default out if they don't write. This past Challenge it was just
frostbit_sky and me and I was lucky enough to win. I'm happy to say that both
wrldpossibility and
frostbit_sky are on my flist. Since one of my goals of participating was to make more LJ friends, I guess it worked!
We have a couple weeks off before we write again, so we'll see what the new prompt will be. This past challenge was a tough one, writing a story where one of the characters was never born.
When it comes to the next Round, I'm undecided if I'll continue. As I enter my season after the first of the year, it's hard to imagine keeping up the writing for the next six months . . . Still, I've been plenty busy the past four months, and I managed to participate in all of the Challenges. So maybe I can do it. We'll see.
I need to catch up the stuff I've written in the Cullen community . . . and I keep joining new communities and getting interested in new fandoms, like
The Walking Dead. I'm gonna try my hand at a few drabbles in that fandom, at least.
And after the message I got about an old mpreg story, I just might have to finish it.
So many stories, so litte time . . .
And I'm glad you made new friends, as I know you enjoy that aspect so much!
Hard to imagine you writing during the busy time of year, but you've amazed me before, so who knows?
Yeah, I wish I'd find time to write. I WANT to...
I consider you the best writer in the group, too! Should be a fun final round, and as you said, I'm just glad to have met new writers in the process and build up my LJ community. Congrats on the last round (I used my skip due to work commitments, but I thought it looked like a hard prompt!). Good luck, and I'm looking forward to writing head-to-head with you (although I don't know if it will end well for me!). ;)
Have a good holiday!

Sorry I missed your call today. Was outside with some garbage and stuff didn't hear the telephone and then left to go get Nicole, so got the message when I got back.
I need to go to the store and the girls just got home with our Christmas tree. It is very pretty and they had some trouble getting it straight in the stand but it looks very nice.
Do you want to come and see the Christmas Boats at our house or were the ones you saw at the office enough? Let me know.
Take care and call on my cell later if you read this.
Glad you could go with us to the concert tonite . . . it was really fun to do something 'Christmas-y'! Uh, yes, I've seen enough Christmas ships to last a lifetime, but thanks for the invite.
:) yay!
Congrats on your win and good luck.
This past challenge was tough.
(Considering the way I started the competition with no positive votes and votes against, it's a near-miracle to still be 'standing'!)
Like they say, it ain't over till it's over.
