Mistress Marilyn's POV
No shit, Tempus Fugit!
Aussie Open, Day One~

tennis - got balls: charliemc
It's hard to believe the Australian Open has started already! Roger won today, along with Maria and Andy Roddick and a host of others.

Christian Bale won a Golden Globe (yay!). His acceptance speech was whackier than Colin's from a couple years ago. (Yeesh, guys, settle down a little.) Ricky Gervais was over-the-top snarky, and I don't think the old guy who heads up the HFPA was in the mood to be a "good sport" about it.

On the home front, our new computers are up and running, with a new OS and, at the current time, a new version of IE for me. (The latter will have to change so I can remote to the office, which IE 8 won't allow.)

And Shinnenkai is over. It was far from perfect, but I think it came off fine, all things considered. We bogued early, drove Sue back down the hill, because the Garden made her walk up in the dark. With her bad hip, that was unfortunate.

Finally, yay for a three-day weekend!!!!

That was really bad for poor Sue. She is such a good sport attending everything and then that. I am so glad that you both have some much needed time off.

I have watched tennis most of the night so far, just watched Novak take a three zip lead in the first, and decided to come out and check e-mails.

I really saw a lot of the tennis early, but then dozed off and on.

I had left Mitch a call and he called me back. Seemed like he really hates the limelight, but I told him to feel good about the celebration. They do appreciate him or they would not do anything.

I know you need nails done, but that will be a lot of your Monday. If you do come over, maybe we can have coffee. Let me know.

Glad Shinnenkai is over (woo hoo). Glad Sue went -- now I need to DL the photos and video!

I'm excited that the Australian Open has started! It's another year of tennis!

And I thought it was cool Christian got the Golden Globe! (woo hoo)

Finally, we'll get these computers working fine soon. It's fun to have new ones at long last!
