Drum roll, please . . .

Okay, it's up! My Gamble/Street Manifesto is ready to read! (And I've only made about a half-dozen edits since I put in up around a half hour ago.)

I feel like I did when I finished the half-marathon a couple years ago. Very accomplished, but this time no blisters!

Thank you, flisters, who helped and encouraged me in this project. I love fandom. I love slash. I love fanfic. And I love you guys!

(That's as schmaltzy as I ever get.)

CONGRATULATIONS, Mistress Marilyn!!!
Way to GO!
CONGRATULATIONS, Mistress Marilyn!!!

I've already GUSHED, even though I feel anything I can say is inadequate. It's just an amazing piece of work. I love it.

I love you! (And Charlie. And everybody else who helped you!)

Love,

Bri (who is off to bed to 'celebrate' in a different way...)

Simply wow! For someone who has only seen the movie once, this essay has inspired me to give the movie and the fandom a second look. Your analysis was intriguing and the chemistry between Street and Gamble seems totally volatile because of the extremely pint up sexual tension. Excellent writing. Thanks for opening my eyes to a new fandom.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.

Can you do me a huge favor? Can you post your comment at the manifesto itself? If I ever want to do another manifesto and ask for permission from the community, I think it will help to have the positive comments from people who read it. (And who knows -- I may be crazy enough to want to do another one someday!)

Thank you again!

I read it last night, then this morning before work, and I commented this morning.

I'm so honored to be featured as your "Joseph Wambaugh" (who I'm sure wouldn't appreciate the comparison). Wow.

I laughed and I nearly cried (well, maybe not quite) when I read the manifesto. I'm linking it and bookmarking it. It's something that will live on when we're no longer around the fandom, and you should be proud.

Her gushes about your work are well deserved, young man! You can surely write. I love reading your work!

Keep those fic comin'!

That's an amazing piece of work! I surely did enjoy it.

I agree. I love fandom, slash and fanfic, too!

I get tired just thinking about all the work you did on this thing.

Now I guess you have no excuse not to finish 'Paris' Confinement' and 'Boromir's Elves'!

*grinning evilly*
