Almost forgot to crow about the 17 Pinnacle Awards we won today at the International Festival and Events Association conference! That's our second-highest number ever. Three golds, and one of those was the Cleanest and Greenest Festival (for the eight time? ninth time?). That's one of my babies, and I just love being the Pinnacle when it comes to environmental festivals!
The edited parade won a bronze, and that represents a huge bulk of my work, so I'm pleased. (And pleased that everything Kelly and I submitted won something.)
Oh!!! And the Duathlon, my brand new event, won a Silver! Woohoo!
Had a wonderful talk with Jeff today after the awards ceremony. He's in San Antonio where it all took place. He really understood, without my saying it, what my week's been like. I felt guilty about that job interview next week.
Well, I've got to get my butt in gear and go pack! Charlie just fried me two pans of green tomatoes (maybe the last of the season?) and they were fabulous! (It's always a good idea to eat at midnight, btw.)
Off I go . . .
- I feel:satisfied
- I hear:Queen (guess which song)
