Just listened to a wonderful PBS program on Helen of Troy. ('Listened' because I was surfing, not really watching.) I'd love to have this one on tape or DVD. It was a great take on what life in Troy was like and how they interacted with the Hittites, etc. If you write fanfic, you're fascinated (and obsessed) by what their lives might have really been like.
Then I turned over to 'Troy' just in time to listen to Hector trying to convince his father of something. (Poor Hector. If only he had been listened to. He just dutifully marches toward his doom.) Eric Bana's performance in this movie was overlooked because of all the hyperbole over Brad's bod and Orli's prettiness. The scene with Hector and Andromeche talking over their son's bed is just lovely. So touching (and one of the only really personal scenes in the movie).
Tomorrow morning is another early one. Three meetings in a row, then auction, auction, auction all day.
Got 'Kingdom of Heaven' today, and I should be watching some of it. I think I'll do that while I walk on the treadmill (!).
Tonight I passed the 900 comment mark (on what I've given, certainly not received)! (That factoid was mostly for Brian and Jim, not to irritate Joey.)
Charlie wrote a wonderful post today here
about our childhood with great photos. I'm envious of her ability to scan and upload photos, and I love them getting a new life in LJ. It makes them live again.
A list moderation note: Noticed the woman who quit our little Aragorn/Legolas list because she was pissed off about the moderated posting is happily playing over at LAS (and evidently elsewhere). I told her she'd find fun places to join and it seems she has. (All I can say is she'd better watch her back out there . . .)

's funny little Google meme (search your name with the word "needs"). My favorite result: "Marilyn will take care of all your needs." Got that, Colin?
