The auction's over, and it went very well. Once again we're out of the house before midnight, and now it's time to wind down and have something to eat (because dinner wasn't a highlight).
My feet are killing me, and my throat is sore from screaming at people as they arrived (to add to the 'rock star' thing, with some folks using cameras and one of our staff members getting autographs). One of the rather prominent folks (the top dog) of our affiliate organization came dressed as Gene Simmons of Kiss. Yikes. And I mean.
I managed not to buy anything but a $13 t-shirt and a $5 pair of earrings. The rest of the stuff was my own (my biker hat, pants with chains and handcuff color) from many conventions, etc. (the 'Mistress Marilyn' gear).
The show was great, and I think we probably raised close to the same as last year. Of course we budgeted to make more, but we'll see . . .
Just glad it's over.
One more week and I go to four days a week! Unbelievable. And I think I'll get signed up for that novel-writing challenge. Might as well take on a new challenge!
