Got through Carol's funeral (very nice, high mass, communion -- got a blessing from the priest and didn't end up with a scar on my forehead ala Mina Harker), got through the board meeting (everything passed without a hitch, Rachel and I stood on our feet for an hour and a half doing our session) and got through the Oregonian article on Wednesday (no big deal, all things considered).
We better have turned a corner now. That's all I'm going to say about it.
Funny. I'm really enjoying 'The Kite Runner' now. Of course too late to go and discuss it. It's a good inspiration for my novel, though, since it's first-person autobiographical.
Off to work! I'm going to lose touch with some of my friends, but I'll catch up eventually. (I did catch the posts from my Nadal community about his girlfriend. Don't despair! He's so young yet. He has many girls, guys, women, etc. to come.)
Happy Veteran's Day to those of you who are Americans and care.
