Just scribbled out (metaphorically scribbled, of course) a couple thousand words. I need to do 4,000 or 5,000 today after doing NONE yesterday.
We just fooled around all day and all night, played games and ate and blogged just a little.
It was a nasty, cold and rainy day, and it was like a real holiday taking the day off NaNo.
But now I need to get to work, because I want to have very little left to do by the end of this weekend. (And today they put the 'official counter' up, so I'm intrigued!)
Kept getting calls last night and this morning from the alarm company about our office building. Geez. I hope nobody's broken in and stolen our computers or something. I should drive down and check it out. Maybe later.
ETA: Just loaded all my chapters into one long text document and did a word count. It came to right around 42,000, meaning my own count has gone off a little. I need to print the whole thing out and read it over, make sure I have the latest versions of the chapters and make sure stuff is in the right order (as it's pretty confusing). And I need to write more than 8,000 words more, just to make sure I finish!
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder, You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger, May you never take one single breath for granted, God forbid love ever leave you empty handed, I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean, Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens, Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance, and when you get the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance!
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance, Never settle for the path of least resistance, Living might mean taking chances, but they're worth taking, Loving might be a mistake, but it's worth making, Don't let some hell-bent heart leave you bitter, When you come close to selling out, reconsider, Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance, And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance!
