Seems like it can't be Sunday night already! Both Charlie and I have been under the weather all weekend with no time to be. Yesterday we went to out for a drink, then to the auction and managed to have a great time and end up the night dancing. But today I'm sore and still afflicted.
Still, we drove up the Gorge, went to Skamania and turned 100,000 miles on the car. That's a milestone for me, the first car I've kept that long.
Today was beautiful and mild, maybe the last nice day for a while. (And they're hinting at snow for the end of this week. Weird.)
So, Ohno slipped, Bode blew it and Michele Kwan pulled out of the Olympics today. At least Shaun White managed to qualify on his second run and then win gold. I'm not terribly chauvinistic about the USA winning everything, but I do like the anti-hero guys (of course Kwan doesn't fit in that group).
I was glad to see Andy Roddick win a point in Davis Cup after watching him sit and puke on the court during his loss in the first rubber. (I would have puked, too, after blowing that lead.) Andy is definitely in the middle of a career crisis at his young age, and he needs all the confidence he can get.
So, should I run tonight? I need to get a long run in, since I've only been walking this week. But I doubt my body can take it. I'm a little worried about my training right now, and Dani is having even more trouble than I am. Hopefully it will turn around by the end of the month, but time is flying . . .
(Power Ball is up to 300 million. We had some great fantasies about that on our ride!)
