What did Dad always say? "It's a great life if you don't weaken."
I haven't weakened yet.
But I have fallen off the running schedule. Sunday I'm supposed to go to the track and do ten miles. Ummm, I don't think that's going to happen. But after this I am getting on the treadmill. I'll need to assess the half marathon goal soon, because it's getting more and more challenging.
In the meantime, I've gotten obsessed with 'Hart's War.' This is a whole new pairing for me, Hart/McNamara, and I need somebody to write it. It was Joey who originally loved this flick and did all the research. But if he won't write it, maybe Jim will. They both like the military stuff. If not, I'll do it myself when I have a chance (which means next summer). If I have a chance to write any fanfic, it's going to be Colin's exorcism.
Tomorrow night is the political event, then the IMAX outing with our engineers. Brian and Ira are 'moving in' tomorrow with the film project, and in the next two weeks we're going to paint and decorate that office into 'Centennial Central.' Come hell or high water.
And I actually made a sponsorship sale. I still can't quite believe it, but it's a cool feeling for someone who's just not a sales person. I forgot to tell Dick when he called just before I left the office at 6:30, but he'll get a kick out of it.
And Tom wrote me a new poem today. And then I had a dream about kissing him while I slept tonight (to 'Sin City' -- far out!), and his lips were exactly like they were when we were teenagers. Ain't life strange?
A huge thank you to dandelow for my fabulous new High Maintenance icon!!! In a coincidental twist, Manny Fernandez stopped by today with a basket full of his two four-month-old Pekenese babies! And I got double kisses.
