Where has this week gone? I worked from 7:15 until 7:15 on Tuesday, then yesterday spent too much time in traffic, getting honked at as I rushed from thing to thing. We got one TV station at our pin unveiling, so that was nice. And I had lunch yesterday with a fascinating woman by the name of Carol Gardner who made a household name out of her pet bulldog, Zelda, through her cards and books. She spoke at a club luncheon, and she was inspirational, to say the least. I got to sit with her father too, a delightful (and very proud) gentleman.
Tonight I'm learning to use the photo feature here at LJ so I can put up pictures of the balloons and dozen yellow roses (along with a teddy bear) sent by the high school bf on Tuesday. I had a plant from Tri-Met Ed (sent last week) and a couple Starbucks cards waiting on my desk when I finally got out of meetings on Tuesday.
And I got many virtual balloons, candy and roses -- thanks again to all for the birthday greetings! And thanks to Kerttu for the lovely ecard! Hugs to my friend in Estonia!
I'm off to crack the whip!
ETA: Oooh! Just saw that Jimbo dedicated a ficlet to me for my birthday -- can't wait to read it. 'Minority Report'! I don't think I've ever read any MR fanfic. (Thanks, Jimbo! I'll comment later!)
