Where has the time gone? We're five weeks out, and yet I wanted to blow today off. I had to convince myself to get up and get going. But I was certainly glad I did.
Today was about media guide deadlines and souvenir guide stuff, among other things. Tomorrow I need to try to get it all finished. (Along with my damn time tracking for April!)
Jenny's back from Mexico tomorrow, and I'll bet she's tanned and gorgeous!
Yesterday was a gorgeous
day, perfect for the Blessing at the Grotto. Charlie and I got their early and took the elevator up to the top and walked around the gardens for the first time in decades. God, it's beautiful there. I wish I had the patience to post photos.
Then last night we stayed at MusicFest until the end. What talented kids! Two of the bands we saw ended up placing in the top three. And Ben Rice and the Youth of Blues
were unbelievable. The keyboard player only 14 years old, was born blind, and he had the crowd going nuts with his ability to play behind his back and other amazing stunts. When I see local talent like this, I can only shrug at the less-than-blessed folks out their with recording deals and songs in the Top 40. Someday Ben Rice will be a household name.
