What a nice break in the afternoon. The gentleman who owns one of the official festival Buick convertibles from the 60s stopped by to take me for a ride in the car. And we're having a beautiful afternoon in the 80s, and it was a lovely 90 minute break in the day to look at his photos and talk to him. (And what an amazing car. It's more like a speedboat, it's so long and sleek.) Last Thursday night at our board meeting I told the story of how he found the missing queen from that year by calling all over the country, and people loved it.
Anyway, I think it made his day to finally come down to the office, and it definitely made my day to meet him. It's always possible to make time for a special moment, no matter how busy you are!
And I want to publicly thank dandelow
for her post last week
about Charlie and me. It was so sweet and unexpected!
Yes, the world is full of great people. It's important to remember that.
