Mistress Marilyn's POV
No shit, Tempus Fugit!
Less than two hours away . . .

Just visited the site and it looked FABULOUS! It's great seeing such a full room (of tables, that is), and the red satin draping and hats everywhere are so festive. The centerpieces are breathtaking. God, we have fantastic vendors we work with. Talked to one of my speakers and confirmed her seating at my table and then talked to the man who directs my boy singers about having someone videotaping parts of the program.

Then I visited Starbucks and got Charlie and me some sustenance for the primping part of the day. I told the wonderful women at the ballroom that I was heading home to take my 'pretty pill,' and they all wanted a taste of that.

So, I was going to do smooth hair under the fedora, but I decided to go all out and let it fluff. It will straighten out over the course of the evening anyway.

I know we're going to make BIG MONEY and have a fantastic time! I just feel it. The sun has come out, and the stars are aligned, so we've got most of the heavenly help we need -- and hopefully any other heavenly help will come through the intervention of the auction chairman, one of this world's most special women.

My stomach feels like it's an event day -- but it's wonderfully calming when that event involves alcohol!

In ten hours it will be all over . . .

Taking a *pretty pill*. :-) I'll have to remember that one.

I hope the event is all that you hoped it would be. I've only been involved in planning a couple small things this year and I've discovered I don't have the temperment for it. Having to help plan it and setting it up, then working it and cleaning up afterward - it's just too stressful for me.

I really admire how you handle it all.
